Man I miss when commercials were enjoyable… also this is DISGUSTING. Adding ads to a video when it’s PAUSED is desperate… Thank goodness ad blockers seem to be getting more aggressive and powerful to counter UA-cam’s nonsense. It’s a shame if only works on desktop/laptop computers though. I wish iOS and Android had those same ad blockers.

Don't get me wrong, i need ad revenue as it funds my videos, but I don't want people going to illegal sites or having their entire savings stolen because of a single ad

As of yesterday youtube has now made every single ad unskippable. [for me at least] Ad blocker on or not I'm being forced to watch the same 3 political ads some of which being 2-3 minutes long. I can't even watch a video from a channel with 100 subs anymore without 3 ads.

Whats worse is youtube actively has scams on their page when you scroll (fake dating apps with obvious photoshop, money scams, fake nike and adidas ads etc that they still wont get under control…….just look at the rapid amount of “i make such and such better videos” and the same stock bikini pic bots and mr beast bots that youtube after years of this issue still wont get rid of! Seriously we all know “mr beast did not like your video!”

I really wish Odysee had a bigger presence than it does because UA-cam really seems to not understand that they're actively destroying their own site. UA-cam stopped being a good site the moment they started punishing everyone for the actions of one person (Pewdiepie).

UA-cam has done more to improve and proliferate usage of adblockers than anyone else could have ever hoped. I wonder if UA-cam will ever realise they are the problem.

Though I don't use adblocker, I have never ONCE bought anything from the ads, because I know they're all scams anyway.

While it’s definitely good that he can’t hurt anyone anymore, it’s infuriating that THIS is what finally got him put away. Not the assaults, not creeping on minors, not his numerous instances of being a public nuisance, but instead for making empty threats to three letter organizations.

i know ill get hated for it but i don't really care i don't mind paying 16$ a month out of my 300$ monthly free income (money that isn't for bills or groceries) for premium, i work a job where i travel quite a bit and being able to watch vids on my phone without ads is worth it. also do not forget that by getting youtube premium you get premium for yt, ytkids, ytmusic.

UA-cam loves making things as hard as possible to enjoy anything

Well, now he's locked up.

I swear one of these days they will use over a minute ads that are not only unskipable but won’t play until you actually look at them.

When I first started using YouTUbe (which was quite some years ago, probably around 2017 or so) I actually didn't bother blocking ads. But then the ads got longer and more. I still took it. The ads became worse and more. I took it. Several times the ads increased, until I finally gave up and started using adblockers. Well, now when I happen to be on a new computer and haven't set up my adblock yet I almost get more dang ads than actual content! And UA-cam wants to increase that even more, until their previous motto "Broadcast yourself" becomes "Come here to watch ads"… I'm so f'in fed up with those ads and am lucky my combo of two adblocks (one generic, one UA-cam-specific, both marked as "Recommended" on the Firefox addons site) works almost perfectly, with only the YT shorts feed managing to slip in the odd add here and there.

I only upload max 1 video per month (excluding the odd stream here and there), so I have no problem with you not uploading all the time XD

2012 youtube was just a different beast, 2016 and beyond has been filled with awful thing after awful thing, we went from no moderation (elsagate) to sudden overmoderation (adpocalypse) now we're seeing the adblock war, or adpocalypse 2.0

Im getting non skippable ads that say skip and have etra ads inside them whenever im not using my phone, I detest begining of video ads and at one point I was tring to watch a 20sec vid and that had ads it was not a short kept replaying the vid until no ads popped up by backing out and starting over.

UA-cam app is no longer usable due to affing ads so I have to watch UA-cam in browser where I can block the garbage
